This City Never Sleeps
Thursday, June 30, 2005 @ The 10 cents magazine
Can you guess which movie features 10cents worth of magazine as the poster?

With Quentin Tarantino and Uma Thurman, you can guess what movie they work together before they made Kill Bill. Together with John Travolta and Samuel L Jackson, you can expect what movie am i talking about.

Uma plays Mia, the mistress of the gang boss, where she was look after by 2 professional assassins, and Travolta, who plays Vincent, is one of them. Jackson is another. Vincent falls in love with Mia, and you figure out yourself.

Mia is one of the kranky gal i seen on big screen, i suppose. Watch Pulp Fiction and see how she plays music on the player....so funny and xiao xiao...

And that's only part of the story. There are more to go.

Tuesday, June 28, 2005 @ Masculinity and kinda....cheated
When my friends told me that how fantastic Batman Begins was, i decided to give it a shot. Azrien and gangs goes for it last weekend, Tash told me that he watched it on Sat, my friends goes for the show despite Jay Chow's Initial D is a hit...

And yeah, thank goodness director Christopher Nolan of Memento and Insomnia did not disappoint me, together with a bunch of fresh faces (Christian Bale, Katie Holmes, Cillian Murphy) and a gang of old experts (think Michael Caine, Liam Neeson, Morgan Freeman, Gary Oldman (and it was so long since Gary Oldman had a apperance in a blockbuster), Tom Wilkinson and Ken Watanabe, the only Japanese cast in the film)

It's filled with excitement, thrill and....a mixed of comic book adaptation and James Bond. Think of the gadgets Batman used in the film. Whoo!

As Katie Holmes is the only actress in the film, i can say that Batman Begins is a movie where masculinity rules. But at the end of the day, it's just like Star Wars Ep 3, the ending leads audience back to the old series. If you watch the film, the ending shows Batman and Jim Gordan (Oldman's return as a only good police sergent who wants to wipe out the corrupted cops) are on the rooftop, with Jim telling Batman that there's a mysterious clown commiting crimes and left his namecard: Joker.

Back to Tim Burton's day where Michael Keaton plays Batman, Jack Nicholson as Joker and Kim Basinger as the reporter who wants to reveal the mystery of Batman.

That's why i don't really recommend studios to make the beginning of the film after having several of their series after so many years. See? Computer graphics used in Star Wars Ep 4-6 are simple, yet Star Wars Ep 1-3 are sophisciated. Isn't it contradicting, or more rather, funny in some ways, where prequels have technological advancement, yet sequel are more technical imbecile? i don't know what's that word.

And how long is the age gap b/w Batman and Batman Begins? 1989-2005. About 16 yrs. Star Wars? 1977-1999. 22 yrs. omg.

Went straight down to Laserflair Parkway as there are sale going on for vcd's released under HVN, the distributor who owns the home video distribution right to Universal, Paramount and Dreamworks. The Godfather Trilogy Uncut Uncensored M18+PG version plus other selected titles are now selling at 2 for $12.

3 movies plus another movie for $12? Soounds too good to be true? Please look below.

So i bought Coppola's classic with Collateral by Tom Cruise and Jamie Foxx, and i regretted buying Godfather trilogy. I should have get them on DVD instead, or get myself Manchurian Candidate by Denzel Washington and Meryl Streep.

When i opened the plastic wrapper for Godfather, i found a bumped marks on the corner (where the side has been hit by something else before. could be due to delivery.) When i opened Godfather Part 1, the plastic casing came off. My!

As if that's not that bad, there are more to go. The middle casing (where you have to insert the disc to keep your disc in place) or rather, the small circle to secure the disc, came off one by one.

And here's the reason why they are getting rid at 2 for $12. There's a crack on Part 1 disc 3. With the crack, i can't play the movie.

Worst of all, there's no subtitles for Italian dialogues!!!!!!!!! Watched Part 2 and 3 before, and there are plenty of Italian dialogues in Part 2. When watched it on DVD, the Italian dialogues are printed on the prints itself. Now, how the hell can i watch the crime sage without subtitles for non-English dialogues?

HVN seems to disappoint the consumers with the home videos they produced. In the eralier days, the volume was so soft, that one had a problem listening to the film, unless they watch it with earphones. Now, they copied the film directly from the prints (and that's the case for Godfather 1) where you see loads of scratches and circles on the film. Except for recent new titles such as Tomb Raider, Vanilla Sky, Italian Job etc, old movies released under Paramount are copied directly from the prints. Same thing appears when i bought Sat Nite Fever years back.

I've learnt my lesson here: should get made in HK's version, where prints are fully restored with subtitles. Never buy from made in M'sia's version unless quality are guranteed. Collateral is one of them.

Saturday, June 25, 2005 @ Marrying off the daughter biscuit
Or known as Jia Nu Bin in Mandarin. That was the sign that draws my attention when Hang Heung is in Singapore again at Great World City to sell their sinfully rich, delicious and to die for chinese pastries. Just in case you do not know what does that means, it simply means: wedding biscuits.

Bought a box of wive cakes on the spot at $7 for a box of 6. As tomorrow is their last day, they had a clerance sale: packed cookies at $1.50 - $7 each. Buy 2 get one free. Cookies are not really that tasty, but here are some of the pastries that is worth dying for:

Wive cakes. Just in case you do not know the story of wive cake, it's about a man who sold his wive to a rich family as servant to clear off his debts. To commemorate his wife, he made a pastry which consist of flour and wintermelon candy and lard. This becomes the most well known Wive's cake. Sinfully rich and thick, the not-so-sweet tast accompanies by the nice fragrance. Best to go down with a cup of Tie Guan Yin tea. For ya info, their outlet in HK sells about 3000 pieces of wives cake daily.

Egg rolls. Make freshly on the spot. It taste great, but it's not cheap. $4 for a packet of 5 rolls. Umm.....that's pretty expensive, i would say.

Lotus seed paste pastry with century egg. If it is salted egg yolk, that would be nice. But century egg? I prefer the century egg congee. Never try this marriage before, cos century egg taste funny when eaten raw. However, their lotus seed paste is fantastic, together with their thin pastry skin.

Now, i will have to wait till Sept, where they will be here again, together with tonnes of my favourite: mooncakes.

And mabey i will be working with Kelly for my IR then?

No More "I Love You's"- Annie Lennox

I used to be lunatic from the gracious days
I used to be woebegone and so restless nights
My aching heart would bleed for you to see
Oh but now...
(I don't find myself bouncing home whistling buttonhole tunes to make me cry)

No more "I love you's"
The language is leaving me
No more "I love you's"
Changes are shifting outside the word
(The lover speaks about the monsters)

I used to have demons in my room at night
Desire, despair, desire... SOOO MANY MONSTERS!
Oh but now...
(I don't find myself bouncing home whistling buttonhole tunes to make me cry)

No more "I love you's"
The language is leaving me
No more "I love you's"
The language is leaving me in silence
No more "I love you's"
Changes are shifting outside the word

(They were being really crazy
They were on the come.
And you know what mummy?
Everybody was being really crazy.
Uh huh.
The monsters are crazy.
There are monsters outside.)

No more "I love you's"
The language is leaving me
No more "I love you's"
The language is leaving me in silence
No more "I love you's"
Changes are shifting outside the word
Outside the word

Are there loads of monsters around this world? I don't see any horrifying creatures with 2 heads, 10 pairs of eyes, or even a monstress wit hair full of snakes. Rather, i see ugly human beings.

Sometines, an ugliness of a human being can be more terrifying than a medusa.

Wednesday, June 22, 2005 @ Annie Lennox in my dreams...
And just imagine what happens when Annie Lennox appears in my dream yesterday am. And this is what happens:

The former Eurythmics lead singer becomes my Corp Comm tutor, and she was giving me some guides on how to run an event. The dream runs about for an hour or so, but in the dream, she was meeting me for 4hrs...

Until sunset came, she says she has to go. And she just disappears after she wrote her name on my notes...

While reading The New Paper just now, there was a news reporting that Cash Converters are offering $10,000 reward to public who knows about the 2 break-in's at their outlet in Tampines DBS Centre and Bedok outlet, as more than $200,000 worth of goods including Rolex watches, Oakley shades, notebooks and jewels were stolen.

And that explains why the outlet opens to the public only at 1pm when i was there on sun!

Based on the news report, it was reported that the burglary could be done by a employee themselves, as the CCTV record shows that there was one staff in white shirts and black pants (which was their uniform) with the accomplice within both outlets when the shop closes at 9.30pm. The CCTV's were turned off and both men took whatever that's valuable. Oakley shades, Rolex's and notebooks goes missing in Tampines outlets, wheras the jewels in the safe at Bedok outlet was stolen...

And when i was reading the news, i have a odd feeling. It seems that i've read this articles long long time ago in my dreams...

That's kinda weird. Is this deja vu, or for the more IT savvy one's known as webja vu?

Sunday, June 19, 2005 @ Damien Saez - Sexe
After i bought Annie Lennox's Diva, head down straight to PS to get my weekly serving of yoghurts. This time, i bought Browne's Strawberry sundae instead of the usual vanilla flavour. (when i was chatting with Tash thru MSN, i told him i was having Ski's low fat vanilla yoghurt. He said: Wah, Ski...must be expensive, isn't it? Yum yum...)

It seems that buying yoghurts from Carrefour PS has become a weekly ritual of passage for me. In fact, it all began with the first time when i had my vanilla yoghurt.

It seems that only Carrefour PS carries Browne's vanilla yoghurt, and no where else. (And they are the only outlet that sells for $1.35. Everytime i go to other supermarts, there's no vanilla flavour, and they are selling at $1.50 onwards.) And when i spend most of my weekend in town, i tend to head down to PS to get some groceries from Carrefour. Yeah, groceries. I buy bread, i buy cookies, i buy chocolates, i buy yoghurts, i buy candies or spreads or drinks.

And after having Browne's vanilla yoghurt for several months, i decided to give Ski a shot. Ski taste smooth, but vanilla taste is very light. Browne's, on the other hand, has a sweet vanilla scent, but leaves a funny after taste in your mouth after finishing. How about Strawberry sundae? I enjoy it later.

While surfing net last nite, Brian De Palma's 1984 classic sex thriller Body Double crossed my mind. It had a run at Yangtze rite now, rated RA. Body double now brought me to De Palma's another erotic sex thriller, Femme Fatale.

One of the scene of Femme Fatale features Rebecca Romijin Stamos doing a striptease dance on the jukebox. The catchy tune lingers around my head for years, and now i have the answer to the song. (Please refer to the above title for the song.)

But here comes the problem: i couldn't find the sample track of Sexe, let alone the MP3, and the catchy tune has been lingering around my head...omg. help me.

Suddenly just wonder if Bedok Central is the new hangout for TP lecturers. First of all, happened to bump Mr Dennis Chiang, my MA tutor. He told me he was a resident of Bedok, and he is not too sure how to check the user records in the library, so i teach him how to do so.

Next, when walking towards Watsons, i bumped into Mrs Mary Thomas, the subject head of Corp Comm. She was kinda surprised when she saw me, and asked if i'm a resident of Bedok. She was doing her grocery shopping at NTUC, yey she's not a resident of Bedok.

???????????????????? So weird.

Saturday, June 18, 2005 @ The sad and tiring journey
Bought myself a copy of Annie Lennox's Diva at Chinatown today. (Told Yao Ming that if the shop is still open when bus 33 drive pass, we will drop down and buy Annie's album. In the end, the shop closed by the time the bus drives pass the shop. You can imagine how late the discussion ends.) And for those who did not know what is Diva all about, it's Annie's 1st album.

Dressed like a real diva (imagine those feather hats, or rather how those drags dressed up for Mardi Gras), the album keeps me happy for the whole day. Because, this week is a tiring week, in physical, mental and emotion.

First all of, on Mon nite, my grandpa called mum, telling mum that my grandaunt (aka my grandpa's sister) passed away at 3am on Mon am. The last time i see her, it was about several months ago. She was suffering from colon cancer and it was on the last stage. Before that, breast cancer knocks on her door. When i talked to Mei Shuen about it, she told me that mabey leaving this world would help to lessen her pain.

Yeah, i agree. She has been suffering so much pain during treatment. Hope that she will be happy in another world.

Secondly, the class is rushing the proposal. With the proposal, i focus on my work than missing her, cos i don't want to get distracted by so many things. We have to edit, edit and more edit. So, it is a physical and mental challange on us.

Thirdly, Tash left Singapore this am. He left me a sms before he left:
'Hello...i'm going off liao...you take care of yourself wor. This no will cease use now.... Cos i'm passing this line to a college. Bye bye lar.' We do not even have a time to arrange for our chocolate date, and we just say sayonara over the phone. Looks like if i gotta meet him, that would only be possible when both of us are in either KL or S'pore.

But at least, the 2hr online chat keeps us awake, making us knowing each other better.

Getting Diva is better than getting Annie's recent album, Bare. Cos Bare is rather sad. Having Diva by my side, it tells me that life is not really that sad after all.

Legend in the Living Room - Annie Lennox

When i ws just 17 i ran away from home.
To be with all the pretty people.
To be on my own.

Bright lights and trains and bedsit stains
And pavements paved with gold.
And i believed in everything that everything that soon everybody told me.

Have mercy
Have mercy upon me.

I found myself in a lonely place with a suitcase full of dreams
and i soon to grow up to realise what living in the doghouse means
But everyday i told myself good things would happen soon
'Cause i knew that i was going to be a legend in my living room.

Have mercy
Have mercy upon me.(Welcome to this perfect world)

Now everyday on a dead end street is where i spend my time.
The dust has been collectiong on the corners of my mind. But i shed my tears in bitter drops
until the thorn trees bloomed
To take the spiky fruit to corwn myself
the Queen of Doom.

Have mercy
Have mercy upon me.

Friday, June 17, 2005 @ When the world is running up and down, you make the best that's still around.
Slept for only 6 hrs last nite. Yeah, for 2 good reasons:
1. Our event proposal is going smoothly, so we can have a good rest.
2. Chat with Tash over the phone, then MSN before he flies back to KL this afternoon.

My day begins at 9, and as usual, i had my HR, then lunch, then a boring guest lecture.

After the guest lecture, Yao Ming and i went to bookshop to get transparency pen and a trans for MA. Then, we went to Norgan-Vaaz cafe, and there's where we saw 3 cheo bu's - Angie, Jane and Gina. All of us had brownies with ice cream at $3 (courtesy of Yao Ming's run for his TPSU election.) instead of the usual $3.80. That's where i had a rich and sinful dessert (Tash, if you happen to read this, i believe you will cry for unable to establish our chocolate date. I had brownie with chocolate Oreo ice cream...)

After class, it's a straight journey to Bukit Ho Swee CC for us. But before we go for our meeting at 7+, we go for dinner at 6. Oh, it's a self shopping trip for Yao Ming and me. We stroll the shoppe and found this shop at Tiong Bahru Plaza (in case you wonder why we are there, Bkt Ho Swee CC is just behind Tiong Bahru Plaza.) and we found a shop selling Converse tees n shoes, Billabong pants and Kappa shoes at discounted price. Sigh...bo lui now. After dinner, we continue for a short after dinner walk before we meet Elias and gang at 7.

Meeting begins around 7.40pm and ends at 10.10pm. Well, everything's a success. Took 33 with Yao Ming and he drop off at Chinatown, so that he could take his bus home.

The i called Tash. He called back later, telling me that he had a very tiring day, and he just get back into the hotel. Back home, i had my yoghurt and walnut cake, and continue to chat with Tash till wee hours before he flies back to KL. I introduce him one of the all time fav. movie: All About My Mother.

When i described to him a scene on where Manuela finally found her hubby, Lola, who is now a transsexual, she said to him: You are not a human being, Lola. You are an epidemic, Tash replied: so drama mama huh?

Then, i forget to tell him a piece of good news regarding All About My Mother: AAMM will be brought to the stage in London next year! Directed by Daniel Sparrow, who is the producer co-ordinator for Mamma Mia! The Musical and Saturday Night Fever the musical, he will work hand in hand with Augestin Almodovar (Pedro's brother), who will be the producer for both movie and play version. The play is set to have the premier at London's West End next year, and it will be presented in English, translated from the original Spanish version.

Oh Tash, i would strongly recommend you to go for this. You will like it. =)

Wednesday, June 15, 2005 @ Why...
Why is it that things is so tiring now.............................................i almost fell asleep in today's MA lecture. Yeah, i am damn bloody tired now, but not really. I am as good as half dead rite now.

Known another guy online named Tash, a 28 yr old boyish looking businessman from KL. He was in town for a business trip and plan to meet up for the lovely hot chocolates at starbucks, but well, both of us are equally busy, and he is flying back to KL this sat. So, no time to meet. Sigh....

Annie Lennox is now singing Why on my player. Yeah, why oh why, why are there so many why's this week?

We shen mo?
Pourquoi?
Why?

Why is it that events is a stressful subject? why is it that i can't meet my friend?

In any case, there are so many why's in everyone's life. If you want to know why, search the answer yourself.

And why is it that Ch U is playing SHE's Superstar now? i had enough of this song back in M'sia, and now they are playing on the TV...fuck lah. i am so tired...

Tuesday, June 14, 2005 @ 2046
All of a sudden, i just do not know why i am going gaga over 2046. Mabey i am unable to watch Wong Kar Wai's The Hands in Eros?

First of all, it's the movie soundtrack. Some pathetic guys are getting rid of 2046 products for that extra cash. Movie soundtracks selling at $10, DVD from China selling at $5.50. (From what i know, some ppl are selling the movie soundtrack at $25 for the normal version, just because it comes with special plastic cover.) One of the featured movie soundtrack is selling at $35 for a limited edition, featuring the sex scene where Tony Leung appears half naked.

Next, back to the movie itself. How come no distributors is bringing the HK DVD of 2046 here leh? and how come Alliance entertainment did not release the VCD/DVD leh? Why? Not really keen onto the made in China version, cos the quality is questionable.

Now, i was wondering should i save up for 2046, or should i get a new pair of converse sneakers? which one is more worth it?

Sunday, June 12, 2005 @ In the land of gold, i found...
trendy clothes, loads of army accessories, loads of converse old school canvas at a great price, and no proper posters of Eros.

When Ben Yeo and Michelle Chia introduced men who wants hip and trendy tees and shoes at a great price in Man Enough on Ch U, they should try the army market at Golden Mile Hawker Centre. Yeah, you know the former old and dirty market, where they undergo a major renovation to bring us a fresh image of the all under one roof building? Makan, groceries, army badge, backpacks, Teva sandals, and now, trendy tees and Converse sneakers. I was there yesterday to try my luck.

And i walk out there empty handed on physical, but fully loaded in mental.

Surprisingly, there are several shops selling tees that teens wear nowadays. You know, those tees that you see at Heerens and Far East? There are plenty of there available too, and at a great price. Surprisingly, some of the shops are selling Abercrombie and Fitch tees at $13. Yeah, $13, but the designs are slightly old lah. Compared to those shops such as Reject Shop and Factory Outlet Store in M'sia, where you buy those rejected branded stuff at cheap price but with their labels cut out, over here, you can get better quality without having the price tag removed, at a great price.

(oh yeah, the TV is playing the main theme of American Beauty rite now, though Mediacorp are using that for the Superstar contest.)

And you can get some nice looking tees at $13 as well. I set my eyes on the tees of The Beatles, where Beatles were drawn into cute characters. Imagine John, Ringo, George and Paul drawn outside Their Yellow Submarine look. There, i found a shop selling trendy design tees at $8 and 2 for $15. Wah, a steal.

And now, most of the Converse sneakers are selling at $29, some at $35 onwards. From what i know from Cindy, Converse is bringing in new designs, so they are clearing stocks now at a steal. Ooohhh...must go and get one asap now.

Right in front of Army's market is Golden Mile Towers, where Golden Theatre is located. Yeah, the cineplex that screens highly recommended X dramas aka in layman's term: sex drama with class. The poster of Sin City has been transferred from Princess to Golden, as it has been rated R21 fro strong violence. This is such a real disappointment. Anyway, the directed by Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino new CGI thriller has been named as this year's Pulp Fiction. And now you put the pair to make a thriller, they can give you a real bloody thriller, which is only limited to adults only.

As for the poster of Eros, it has been displayed behind the box office counter, together with 2 B-Korean porn flick: Green Chair and Old Guy. Oh for Old Guy, do not confused with the psychotic thriller Old Boy, which happens to be Tarantino's favourite. Old Guy is Korean director Kim Ki Duk's 2002 production. Branded by some idiotic critic that Kim is Korean's David Lynch (which i beg to differ), Old Guy is about a man who forced a woman into prostitution. As simple as that. I am not going to talk about Green Chair cos Eros is much much more better than Green Chair.

There, there are no proper poster for Eros at lobby area, cos they replaced the poster with 2 same pics photocopied from the machine, featuring Gong Li and Chang Chen in a A5 paper, with R21 rating taking about 1/5 of the space.

Want the posters? Please proceed to Level 3 and 5.

Friday, June 10, 2005 @ Odin's Raven Magic in a land of erotica
One of the chapter composed by Sigur Ros, and that's the tune that is playing on my players now.

It's been a week of topsy turvy that i had. Events was so busy that i am losing sleep on it. gosh...i must take a good look at the mirror once this event is over. I HAVE TO SEE HOW MUCH I'VE AGED.

And thanks to the pressure i had rite now, i hardly had the time to hit the gym and pool. Now, i am binging myself with food whenever i feel stress. Thanks to the events, i don't think i can go for Almodovar's Matador and Jet Li's Unleash. For Unleash, i will get the home video, cos the distributor has choose to screen a censored version (Boo!) even though i am elegible to watch the uncut version, which has been rated NC16. Matador, on the other hand, had an extended run for another week, but at a bad timing. They would rather have extra showtime for B Korean porn than Matador. Anyway, i supposed the ah peks do not bother how old or how new those XXX shows are rite? So long as 'those cheo bu got strip naked can liao lah.' So, why not have a long run of Matador?

Oh yeah, 2 movies that's worth watching opens in theatres this week. One of the most anticipated blockbuster Mr and Mrs Smith. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie is the selling point of the film, where they are brought together by Doug Liman, the man behind Go (which i catch on Star Movies last sat) and Bourne Identity. About a boring couple who works as professional killers without letting their partners know, until their clients want them dead.

Another that is worth talking about: Eros aka Ai Shen in mandarin. Exclusively at Cine Orchard and Golden, this is a movie featuring 3 short stories by 3 directors : Wong Kar Wai, Steven Soderbergh and Michaelangelo Antonioni, who becomes the most well known directors of the world, with the style of direction and their stories. However, the film seems to flop badly, with Antonioni causing the fall of the artsfare.

Hands is the short film by Wong, with Gong Li and Chang Chen playing an extend of Wong's In the Mood for Love and 2046 (you will knwo what i am talking about if you know the background of Hands), but nothing got to relate with Tony Leung Chiu Wai and Maggie Cheung. Chang plays Xiao Zhang, a tailor apprentice who is measuring high class hooker Miss Hua's (Gong Li in beehive hairstyle which is a to die for.) body. Miss Hua, in return, took off his clothes and slept with him. From then onwards, Xiao Zhang has been crazy over Miss Hua and he vows to made the best cheongsam for Miss Hua. Wah...this story is definitely worth dying for.

Soderbergh's Equilibrium seems to be so so after Hands comes to an end. Featuring Robert Downey Jr as a patient and Alan Arkin (who appears in Audrey Hepburne's Wait Until Dark) as a psychiatrist, the b/w short film in the background of the 50's is about a patient who told his psychiatrist that he has been having sexual fantasies with a girl, and it has been in his dreams over and over again.

Antonioni's The Dangerous Threats of Things pulls the whole movie down. It make the reviews sucks and makes Eros gotten an R21 rating. About a couple in their 40's do not have anymore love for each other. One day, the hubby met a cheo bu and have sex with her. Days later, he found out that the cheo bu becomes his wife's good friend....

The reviewer's comment: Wong is good, Soderbergh is so so, Antonioni, being the Italian movie master, comes out with a short film full of nude women, full of cheesy dialogue, bad script and bad acting. Unsurprisingly, Eros was pulled down, thanks to Antonioni.

I can't judge anything at the moment, cos i've not watched Eros yet. But i am dying to see it. I want to watch Hands.

Oh yeah, since it is screening at Golden, that reminds me of getting a tees at Golden Mile Food Complex. Sigh...no time to go leh...

Tuesday, June 07, 2005 @ Rain...
The sky outside is looking pale...yeah. The reddish sky. The atmosphere is filled with the air of pre-rain. Oh, so lovely.

Madonna is now singing Rain on my player, and it goes, 'here comes the sun, here comes the sun, and i say, it never go away...' oh sun, please let me enjoy this quiet moment of pre-rain in the sky. Let it wash over me. I am totally worned out.

Feeling rather tired for the past few days, and i am tiree of what is being done now.

@ Thosr razzle dazzle colors...
Surprisingly, dad was watching the dvd of ABBA: The Definitive Collection. He get himself stuck to the world of the Swedish band, which brought us with those lovely songs...but the song that struck me the most was Happy New Year. Yeah, mabey not many had heard of it before rite?

Saturday, June 04, 2005 @
When i am writing this entry rite now, i jus couldn't think of a title. Mabey no title is better than having a title, but the whole chapter doesn't seems to go along with the title?

It has been rather a topsy turvy world that i am having rite now for the past few days. 1st of all, the gathering is great, i meet my friends who i've not seen for ages, did not have much food cos i had gastric pain, and eventually reaching home at 12+am, leaving on Mrs Tay's car with Kheng Lin and Minghao.

And it was a sleepless nite to me, cos i have better things to work on. I am rushing on my reports and peer notes, where we have to get it settled asap. Eventually i went to bed at 2.50am.

Larry once said to Alice in Closer, the British drama play to the big screen movie: 'you don't know the first thing about love because you don't understand compromise.'

And Alice said to Dan, 'Where is this love? I can't see it, i can't touch it, i can't feel it, i could hear it, i can hear some words, but i can't do anything with your easy words.'

That's what i'm feling for the past few days, cos i am simply tired, and i am going to worn out soon. As deadlines for projects is marching towards us, there's no spare time for me to bother on other issues. Mabey after the submission of proposals? Some spare time is possible.

On thurs, i am being forced to go to Cheng San Library at NTUC Hougang Mall to borrow MR reference books, cos i need it, and i am wondering what to do for my part. Then, i smsed Shahrin whether he is free for Matador today. The answer is: NO. He's on standby, so no Matador. OK, whatever. No more Almodovar's 1986 erotic thriller. Gotta wait till next year.

And doubt that i would have time for Unleashed tonight. So, what to do on a boring sat nite? Watch Frida by Salma Hayek at home.

Somewhere around the corner in the city lies a man with some past...
