The Wayward Cloud
That was the movie which has made quite a big hoo haa on the newspaper for the sexually explicit themes. Thanks to the Malaysian born Taiwanese director Tsai Ming Liang and his muse Lee Kang Sheng, we Singaporeans could enjoy a sex musical featuring watermelons, water and sex.
First of all, why is it known as The Wayward Cloud?
Human beings were referred as clouds in the musical, where one drifted to another. When several human beings drifted together, then, what is the shape of that cloud?
Next, why watermelons?
Please refer to the plot: In the years where Taiwan is facing water shortage, the government encourages the people to drink watermelon juice. All of a sudden, watermelon becomes the substitute for water. However, people have different ways to steal that precious H20 for their own use.
Hsiao Kang is a porn actor who steals water from the rooftop in the block he is living in. Hsiang Chi steals empty bottles to collect water from public toilets. One day, Hsiang Chi found a watermelon in the block she lives in, and she met Hsiao Kang: previously, he sold a watch to her. Now, they are staring at each other over the watermelon. Both finds solace among each other...
And what is the big hoo haa of that porn thingy about? I can only tell you that in the trailer, a Jap porn actress was fed with watermelon slices non stop, while she was lying on the bed. I can only tell you what is the hoo haa about when i watched the clouds.
Monsoon Wedding
Watched this again last fri nite, and it was all about an Indian family preparing a shaddi (wedding) for their daughter. Conflict among each other arises, where some wants to go to the east, others, west.
In real life, are we able to resolve conflicts peacefully, just like the wedding ceremony at the end of the show?
Thursday, July 28, 2005 @ 7
Yesterday, when Su annonuced the groups going for the recruitment drive at SP or NYP, she announced that i will be going with her, Steph and YaoMing. Yippie! I am so happy.
To speed up things, i divided pamphlets into 2, so that we can distribute immediately.
This am, i met the gals while listening to Enrique's 7, his old album, and went to the north canteen. thought that i would saw Kheng Lin there. Just 2 bad, he was in class, and my recruitment drive is just near his sch. Surprisingly, i found Each A Cup is still operating there.
And after the recruitment drive, received a call from (1)Nike shop at Shaw Towers that the new baller ID band is here. Yao wants it, so both of us head straight down to Orchard.
Reached there and found a black band together with the design Yao is looking for. So, i get the black band and he got the rest.
After lunch, i guided Yao how to get back to TP from Royal Thai Embassy. Continued to Paragon from there. And found the VCD of Interpreter and The Guru (made in M'sia version) on sale. If that's not all, the vcd of (2) Jap horror Infection is distributed under Lions Gate Home Entertainment in S'pore.
At HMV, old titles distributed by Allian Entertainment(3) (Gangs of New York, Amelie and Chicago) are now re-released under M18 for uncut version. Amazingly, some bonus features are included in Amelie, from their original vanilla edition.
If that's not all, (4) Cineleisure Orchard is having a sneak preview of Seven Swords tomorrow nite. In ordinary case, this is rare, cos Cathay cineplex would never screen a movie distributed by Eng Wah Organization. Earlier on, Lido and GV Plaza will be screening Valiant, an animation from the producers of Shrek, apart from Cineleisure Orchard. This is rare (again) cos Shaw and GV would never screen any movies distributed by Cathay. Now, apart from Seven Swords, we can enjoy the digital format of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory at Cineleisure Orchard. That was the 3rd film Cathay screens a film distributed from GV, after Matrix Reloaded and Revolutions.
And while walking towards the bus stop outside Orchard Point, (5) Rabil just pop out right in front of me. Both ofus are rather surprised when looking at him, and he asked where am i going. He was getting a cab to AMK sec sch for his upcoming sch drama play, while i was busy with my event. 2 event people just pop out right in front of each other. His smile...still sweet as ever. And that brought me to what i've seen this am in NYP: his upcoming drama play, Nomad Travelling, premiers in AMK Sec sch tom nite, and the posters can be seen in NYP. (6)His posters was right below my poster (aka Nomad Travelling's poster was just rite below FUNtastic Youth's poster.)
While the scenario of the pop up's was still churning in my head, Yao called and told me that (7)he was still in Bus 36, despite that i send him off in a1 1/2 hour ago. Amazing. He thought that the bus could drop him off around Bedok Reservoir. The bus took him to the airport and back to City Hall. In the end, i need to tell him to get down at City Hall and took a train to Tampines.
Saw 3 Seven's today. Seven Swords invading theatres, Enrique's 7, and 7 surprises.
Thing's you can tell from the numbers.
Tuesday, July 26, 2005 @ All That Heaven Allows
And the day began with a heavy rain in the morning. The morning is cold, the bus is crowded as usual, things going on like normal.
Things comes to a stop suddenly an hour later. Time to tabulate scores.
And after the score tabulation, okay things settled. We'll be together.
Sounds too good to be true? And have no idea what is this all about?
First of all, it's about bearing grudges with one another within the previous months. A dislikes B, C has prejudice against D. So, they bad mouth about each other, back-stabbing one another, and rub salt on the wounds.
It was brought to the next stage of work, where everyone has to work with one another. In the end, it sparks off conflicts, confilcts and more conflicts. Just like those human conflicts in Crash.
Different people took different routes and crosses path with one another. Somehow, it do not crosses path, but more rather, it crash with one another.
Why do we human beings have to bear grudges with one another? And why do we have to hate each other?
There are 2 sides in each coin - head and tail. In every matter, there are 2 sides - the positive and the negative. When we like someone, we tend to look at their positive side, and neglected their negative side. When we dislike someone, we tend to focus on their negative side, and we do not even bother to look at the positive side.
Have we ever thought of looking things at both sides? Most don't. Thus chaos arises.
If we can ever stop a while, take a deep breath, and look at both sides of the story, together, we can path a way to the solution.
And all that heaven allows. But most of the time, does heaven really allows?
Monday, July 25, 2005 @ All You Want - Dido
I'd like to watch you sleep at night
to hear you breathe
by my side
And though sleep leaves me behind
there's nowhere I'd rather be
And now our bed is oh so cold
my hands feel empty
no one to hold
I can sleep what side I want
It's not the same with you gone
Oh if you'd come home
I'll let you know that
All you want
Is right here in this room
All you need
Is sitting here with you
All you want
It's been three years one night apart
but in that night you tore my heart
If only you had slept alone
If those seeds had not been sown
Oh you could come home
and you would know that
All you want
Is right here in this room
All you need
Is sitting here with you
All you want
I hear your key turning in the door
I won't be hearing that sound anymore
And you and your sin
can leave the way you just came in
send my regards to her
I hope you've found that
All you want
Is right there in that room
All you need
Is sitting there with you
All you want
I'd like to watch you sleep at night
to hear you breathe
by my side
Sunday, July 24, 2005 @ B for Boring
Went to the CC again for the usual meeting, and lunch follows after the usual meeting.
When i decided to walk across to the bus stop opposite Tiong Bahru Plaza, a banner was posted outside those shops: Video Ezy Tiong Bahru now open. And so i happily step into the shop to see what's the maek down title. In the end, i bought Closer at $6.90. Surprisingly, it seems that most of the home video shops do not really bother to conduct ID checks for restricted titles.
A trip to Queensway shoppe and IKEA follows after that. Had 2 cups of coffee at IKEA cafe (cos it's free flow gourment coffee from espresso machine.) and enjoy the scenery of the rain.
And went to Carrefour PS to get yoghurt as usual.
You can just imagine how boring my weekend is. Routine, stick to the mud, no changes.
When can i change my weekend routine?
Thursday, July 21, 2005 @ Ches Les Ye Ye
And i thought i am going to school today for that mere 2 hours of lec. I was totally WRONG.
The class has to distribute posters to various schools for our upcoming event, and i had simply forgotten every single bit of it. OMG.
And so i follow Yao Ming, Siti and Rosie to schools in Northern part to distribute the pamphlet.
Serangoon, RJC, Anderson JC and last but not least, NYP.
While at the RJC, called Angie aka Ms AMK how to go to Anderson and NYP, and the sweetie told me to took no 13 from RJC and go all the way to Anderson and NYP.
NYP gives me the feeling of...the Chinese idiom i learnt from Dreams of the Red Chamber: 'Granny Liu enters the Big Garden' Which means: an old lady enters a very grand place she never been before, and she exclaims with excitement.
You can read the idea from here.
And finally, duty completed on 4.05pm. So, both Yao Ming and I went to AMK central for western food. Wow, it was so long ago since i last had western there. Yum Yum.
Before leaving home, bought 4 pcs of Tip Top curry puff from there.
Wow, Angie, you are blessed with good food in the area you live in, together with exciting happenings. Hehe. =)
Tuesday, July 19, 2005 @ Mon Manage A Moi
That was the song that was played towards the end of Irrevversible, where Marcus played for Alex after sex. It means My Manage A Me. ? What do they mean by that?
And now, it becomes My Horse-Gear A Me. Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.....
Adopted Pulpy after seeing Cindy adopting Dee Dee, a cute little duck online. Everyday, i fed Dee Dee with bread, while i feed Pulpy with bones. Pulpy pulpy...
The HR presentation goes very smoothly today, with me and the 4 beauties working together on performance appraisal. However, due to the lack of stage exposure for a long long long period, i just feel that it is so funny when i have to quarrel with Su, that i need to control my laughing when quarrel with Su.
Stephanie says: 'Taiwei, i could see that you are trying to control your laughter when you are quarreling with Su.'
That's a kind of odd feeling between me and the girls. Sometimes i just could not express my thoughts to them, and and and....well, i dunno.
When it comes to Elias's group, it is not the usual T01 who is having the 'training', more rather it's a 'training' consist of celebrities.
Elias as Jet Li (AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
Me as Quentin Tarantino.
Yao Ming as Darth Vader.
Su as Lucy Liu aka O-Ren Ishii.
Shikin as Sandra Bullock.
I am so freaking tired now...and when Yao Ming and I had lunch with Jeremy (finally), he told me that he could not find more sponsors, and was pretty surprised with my class for securing 10 sponsors. He finally told me that he was feeling tired too...
Like what Cindy says, being in Diploma in Marketing has shorten my lifespan considerably. I would say, having studying in Event Management has increased my number of white hair considerably.
Mon Manege A Moi in English:
You make me turn the head
My horse-gear to me, it is you
I am always with the festival
When you hold me in your arms
I would make the turn of the world
That would not turn more than
that the ground is not enough round to daze me as much as you...
Ah! What one is well both
When one is us together two
Which life one has both
When one likes like us two
One could change planet
As long as I have my heart close
I hear flons-flons them festival
And the ground does not have nothing to do there
Ah yes! Let us speak about the ground
For which it is caught the ground?
My word, y' has that it on ground!!
Y' has that it to do so many mysteries!
But for us y' does not have problems
Because it is for the life that one likes
And if y' did not have life, even,
Us one would like nevertheless
Because... You make me turn the head
My horse-gear to me,
it is you I am always with the festival
When you hold me in your arms
I would make the turn of the world
That would not turn more than that the ground is not round enough...
My horse-gear with me, it is you!
Mon Manege A Moi by Etienne Daho, originally an old song from Edith Piaf.
Saturday, July 16, 2005 @ Golden Chicken
Bought a bird of BBQ chicken from Carrefour PS today. Fresh from the oven, piping hot.
Imagine i am wearing my brand new Levi's to do my grocery shopping. The next Jamie Oliver. Woo Hoo!!!
And before i reach home, i made my way to Giant Hypermart to buy 2 boxes of brownies for breakfast on monday.
And this is what i saw when i reach home: no one's at home. So, i gotta cut the chicken myself. Yeah! Ma's not at home. I can practice my chopping skills now. But...no one's at home, what happens if my fingers were chopped off? (Touchwood!)
If anything happens, i dun think it's possible for ypou to read this blog now.
So, i took out my Starbucks apron to cover myself (cos i don't want bits and pieces to stain my Billabong tees and Levi's.) and here i go, chopping the chicken.
And that somekind remind me of how Shirley Tay, the Peranakan cook, chopped the chicken in pieces. First, wash the chicken, next, chop off the neck, then, chopped the chicken into half...and it goes on and on and on...and so that's what i did: chopped, de-bone breast meat, discard bones, chopped into pieces and heat up those portions that i need. Cool the rest and wrap them up, keep them in fridage.
And done.
Realised one thing Tash told me: men who can cook are sexy. And how about man who can chopped a chicken? Equally sexy, just like Jamie Oliver, rite?
But don like the way Jamie Oliver handle food: he do not bother to wash the chicken or any meat, or even veggie, if he is preapring food. OMG.
@ Big City Small Affair
One more part...and MR will be completed. Yay.
Just few days ago, finished watching Leon Lai and Faye Wong's Leaving Me Loving You. Kinda short, about a couple who just broke up when they found out that they have no love for each other. He's a doctor, she's a event management consultant. No quarrels, no fights, no tiffs, just a plain broke up.
A corporate event brought them together again. He rethinks on how the brokeup could be avoided, and is trying ways to patch thing's up together.
Not much surprise in the show: a simple 'i am sorry' pulls them back again.
As the titie suggested: big city, small affair. This is just one of the simple and plain love story i ever seen. I would say, it is much more watchable than those commercial romantic drama. As the title suggested, this is a small romantic drama set in Shanghai, the metropolitan which still preserve a touch of tradition.
In life, how many couples could broke up and patch up just like them?
We never know. It's the party involved that knows the best. They will know how does it taste like to broke up.
To those who suffer from a broken relationship but could still lead a normal life, and treat it as nothing has happen before, i admier the kind of person. They are able to let go, and that's all i have to say.
To those who suffer a broke up but they think they are some queen who wants to do things according to their ways (that means they want other ppl to give in to them), i despise them. Broke up doesn't mean that that's the end of the world. Life still need to move on. Why act as if you are a childish kid who never want to grow up?
To those who suffer a broken relationship and choose to die, shame on you. Your mum brought you up to this world with , and you die for someone who no longer loves you. What's that? Do you know that you are a sinner for dying over a broke up relationship? You yet to repay your parent's care for you, and you made the other party carrying the name of murderer, where you killed yourself over them?
Breaking up is a phase one has to go through in our life. Take it as a lesson learnt in a breakup. The world will not stop turning around just because you had a break up, cos there are so many people outside for you to choose from to accompany you on the journey of life.
Life has to go on after a break up. No use crying over a fail relationship.

Wednesday, July 13, 2005 @ $0.6 Million Dollar Peanut
Talk of the town, or should i say, the scandal of the town? TT Durai, the CEO of NKF, decided to drop their charges against SPH for slendering him. Thanks to SPH and Davinder Singh, we can have a clearer picture on how Durai splurge the public's donations on luxury cars, unnecessary furnishings, expensive publishing of flyers and leaflets and etc.
And how does NKF achieve that? Making use of sad tales of kidney patients and cancer patient and their love ones, on how they suffer, and how much money they need to pay for dialysis and etc...they abused the kindness of Singaporeans, and Singaporeans keep on throwing money into the endless pit. In the end, this endless pit (NFK's treasury) has plenty and countless of funds from the public to support the financial needs of the patients, and the pit measure for 30 years...
So that's why i will never donate a single cent to NKF. Not today, not tomorrow.
At least not for the next 30years.
While Singaporeans are in a stage of charity fatigue, thanks to the countless donations to the charities, NKF has made Singaporeans think twice before donating. In future, i would say, don't think twice. Think thrice beofre donating. Why? How clear is the transparency of the usage of donations from the public to the daily functions and operations of a charity org?
Mabey i should change my word: NKF caused charity fatigue. They bombarded Singaporeans with donation call ads on TV, claiming that one can get lucky by dialing 1900 112 XXXX, to support NKF. They make students to collect or beg for money from the public on weekends. And hey, do you still remember the times where in pri sch and sec sch, we receive envelopes from NKF, telling us to go and donate to the poor? A dirty little secret from my time: we don't bother to go around and beg for $$$. We donated $1 on the deadline.
And our work paid off: we see the truth of how NKF splurge on luxuries using donations from the public.
To add fuel to the fire, we have the beloved Mrs Goh Chok Tong, who come and tell us that : for a man who has to handle billons of dollars of funds, a annual salary of $600,000 is peanuts.
The most expensive peanut we ever had.
Mrs Goh, me, as a S'pore PR, i have to say: i am SHAME on YOU! Can you imagine how many people slogged thru hell to earn that $600,000? How many people can earn $600,000 in their lifetime? And how many people can bring home an annual income of $600,000 per year?
If you think $.06 M is peanuts, please, stop going those parties for the high status. Please take a good look how many S'poreans are living in unthinkable conditions. How many people broke their bones for a sack of rice?
I am UTTERLY SHAME AND DISAPPOINTED ON WHAT YOU SAID. PLEASE, YOU DON'T DESERVE TO BE A WIFE OF MR GOH CHOK TONG.
Please take a good look on how many are still suffering from low pays.
Moral of this scandal: 1. NKF caused charity fatigue. 2. We do not need to donate to NKF for the next 30 years. 3. If we need to help the needys, we help them directly. Skip the middleman. 4. Mrs Goh need to do some soul searching for what she said.
Cos not everyone had the opportunity to enjoy high end games and luxuries every week.
Tuesday, July 12, 2005 @ An Unfinished Life
That was the latest film directed by Lasse Hallstrom, the Swedish director who brought us My Life as a Dog, Chocolat the lovey dovey romance and The Shipping News, the movie that reminds us of how unpredictable life could be.
Starring J.Lo (yes, i mean J.Lo), Robert Redford (ater he goes missing on big screen for several years) and Morgan Freeman (this is the year of Morgan Freeman. He won an Oscars, thanks to Clint Eastwood, he teaches Jet Li how to be a human being, he is the Batman's version of Q, instead of James Bond, he teaches human being a lesson that do not overlook small things around you, after Tom Cruise fed the tripod alien machine few bombs. Now, he's here to spin a life.), the Swedish director brought us a story of forgiving each other.
For no apparent reason, i just feel that my life is uncompleted. Something is missing, thus that explains why i am using an Unfinished Life as the title. Nah, i am not here to spin my unfinished life. I am spinning it in a way, where life would be filled with happiness, love and life of meanings.
And i just forgotten that there are 2 brownies waiting for me in the fridge, to be eaten up.
Was in Tampines central today, and just walk in to $$$ Converters. Bought myself the dvd of Hitch by Will Smith at $8.
And i wonder: should i say it's a good catch today? I found some brand new titles on the shelf at low price. Assault on Precinct 13, In Good Company, A Very Long Engagement, some sex comedy etc...at less than $10 each.
Just feel that the turnover of new dvds are getting faster, so fast that you do not need to wait for ages to get brand new 2nd hand dvd. Hitch was just released abt 2weeks ago, together with Unleashed. A Very Long Engagement, on the other hand, had the code 3 version released last week. But...the version that i saw was code 6, made in China's version. Just imagine Audrey Tautou speaks fluent Mainlander accent Mandarin, instead of French. Worst of all, it's in French and Mandarin with only Mandarin subtitles.
Hmm...i supposed, people are getting well off, so they disposed their new stuff quickly one they had used it.
Mabey we can tell how good/bad the economy is by the turnover rate of the dvd's?
Monday, July 11, 2005 @ Birthday Invitation, Wedding Invitations
Was invited to Stephanie's 21st birthday party. So i went together with Yao Ming, and was nice to see Elias and gang, Steph in nite dress and her family, friends, relatives.
It was so fast, and when i think of it, hey, it's the term break week. Term break is here.
And i realised that time flies very very quickly. Just like what Shah Rukh Khan said to Rani Mukerjee in Paheli: time flies, 5 years will be gone in a snap.
And while Steph was cutting her birthday cake, i told Su: now, we are receving birthday invitatation. In few years time, we will be receiving wedding invitations.
Then i realised that i am old.
Few days ago, i received a letter from CMPB, wanting me to book a date for my NS checkup. S
Should i say: my doomsday is here, or time flies so fast, that we did not take note of it? Time flies so fast, that we are not aware of it.
In a few years time, some of us will get married, some will further their studies, some will work, some will become mums n dads, some will still remain single, some will slogged to death...And we will never know what will happen to us in the future.
Just like Lil' Ze and Rocket in City of God. One becomes Rio De Janerio's major drug lord, while one becomes a photographer. One took pictures while one kills. Ten years down the road, they walk on different paths, and shares different faith. While one will make it big for his photos, one will die under the guns of his enemy.
Different paths awaits us, but it's where we want to go that leads us what we want to be in future.
Saturday, July 09, 2005 @ 512
Bought myself a Levi's 512 relaxed straight cut today. Initially wanted to go for that so called new design: Square cut. In the end, i realised that:
Sq cut is for those with skinny legs. One with muscular legs should never even thought of wearing it. It's tight, it's hard, just like wrapping ya legs with canvas cloth. Colour's not dark, pretty faint, square (and i really mean sq.)
And even Yao Ming agrees with me. So, i had a 512 instead. Looks and feel more comfortable.
We went to Ngee Ann City today just to get Levi's for myself, cos we are supposed to visit Flesh Imp at Wisma Atria later. In the end, i got my jeans and socks, but we don't get the tees.
While Yao is getting a new Sony Ericsson K750i in Singtel's roadshow, we headed down to Far East Plaza for a meal. Fish n Chips and Chicken cutlet at a go. It was a tour of Leftfoot, Cheeks and Lips later...whatever it is, the name of the shops we visited are related to body parts...hehe.
While he left to the roadshow to meet his family members, i went to HMV as usual, and gotten myself the vcd of City of God. The movie that i've been waiting for for years. Before going home, i get myself 2 pieces of brownie from the Brownie Factory. Ah...so sweet.
Wednesday, July 06, 2005 @ CITY OF SIN
First paper down on wed. MA1.
HR falls today.
From my observation, the paper is very very tricky, just like the adventure in Ronald Dhal's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, where the kids visited the factory. Ya hor, Willy Wonka is taking us to the tour at the nearest theatre soon. Tash, if you are reading this now, you should regret why you didn't found the golden ticket at any Wonka's Bars. Anyway, Wonka's Bar lived in our little fantasy.
Back to the days where we were little tots, praying that we have unlimited supply of chocolates.
Sin City has been rated R21 for strong violence, thanks to the trio (Rodriguez, Tarantino and Frank Miller, the author of the b/w comic of violence.) However, that won't stop me from going from the show. I suppose, theatres such as Golden closed one eyes for teens to watch a movie full of bloodshed and gore, compared to letting them watching a movie full of men/women stripping off and fuck each other off rite? Whatever it is, it seems that the arrangement of halls to screen Sin City has been located at halls near main entrance, so as to prevent underage from going the show. Rite? Surprisingly, Yangtze did not screen Sin City. They had a re-run of Dark Angel Vol 1, Japanese yazuka's version of La Femme Nikita, La Belle (the B-Korean porn which just had a re-run at Golden) and Almodovar's Talk to Her aka Hable Con Ella in espagnole.
Oh yeah Yangtze...why do you always screen movies from Almodovar? You had 3 runs of Almodovar's film so far. Oh yeah i love you so much...oops, i mean i like you to screen Almodovar's film so much. You bring the DOM La Mala Educacion, where the ah peks are turned off from the homo relationship, u brought us Matador, where all DOM dreamed of dying after sex, and now you bring us Hable Con Ella...the lesbo drama. I like it.
Monday, July 04, 2005 @ Chocolate cappuccino
Dad finally had a bite of Cadbury Chocolate and Caramel ice cream. Yeah, the one with the cover of Mr and Mrs Incredible.
No one's at home except me today. So, i chat with Tash thru msn at home, before going out to do self study. (Cos i am faced with several temptations at home. the computer, the dvd player, pulp fiction, godfather trilogy etc...doing self study at cafes or libraries can help me to concentrate better.) Before leaving home, i took some pic for Tash and his reply: so adorable...
Had my lunch at Sumo House, and it seems that it's not really worth my money now. A serving of Tori katsudon still sell at $2.90, but, they cut down the portion of rice and chicken cutlet. Kena conned, as what Frankie Foo says.
And i decided to go to town today. So, i went to Suntec City. On the bus, i just found out that...
My earphones is not working. It's time to get a set of new earphones.
After walking round and round Suntec Area for a cheap and good earphones, i bought a set of Sony earphones at $16 in this shop named Boon Enterprise. Not intended to get a more expensive one, cos once i gotten my pay for SIP, i am getting an MP3. Then, i invest on a set of better earphones.
And i found the place for me to setle down: Starbucks Suntec City. And i realised one thing: they still used the lamazocco expresso machine, but they used a more refined cups with saucers for hot drinks, compared to porcelain cups in other oulets. (Thought that after Starbucks Inc acquired the franchise rights frm Bonstar, they changed the whole style of running the green circle coffe chains. They used more refined cups and bigger square plates for a small muffin. Until when i walked pass PS outlet, i just realised that this was not the case.)
I had a grande hot chocolate, and guess what? they used a cup with saucer, and just realised that they did some changes to the recipe: they cut down the amount of milk, and replaced with 2 scoops of foam. A fucking $4.70 for that 2 scoop of foam, and took away that few ml of milk. Initially you had cocoa filled to about 1/6 of the rim, then top it up with whipped cream and chocolate sauce.
And that's what i mean by chocolate cappuccino. (By right, it should be knowed as chocolate latte, cos cappuccino consist of 1/2 milk and 1/2 foam. Latte is 1 scoop of foam on top of the drink. But i can't used latte, cos chocolate latte = mocha. And as for why it is known as chocolate cappuccino? those cups are meant for serving cappuccinos.) And for ya general info, cream is heavier than foam. So when the barista topped the foam with whipped cream, you get...
a flow of drinks. The foam flowed out and stains the lovely cup instantly. Yep, and a sip of that lovely dovey drink was wasted.
And that $4.70 was kena fucking wasted. They sell the apperance, not the practicality.
Finally, i had the luxury of sitting on the couch just beside their 'fireplace'. Stayed there for an hour, and feels that it is lovely to have a cuppa with friends there, but it's kinda uncondusive to study there, cos there are people eyeing the seats, or rather, the best seat on the house.
Decided to go to Far East later after sitting on the couch for an hour. Nothing much changes, but decided to get a new tie from Isrida for my SIP. (Oh yeah, James keep on changing his fanciful ties everytime i saw him in sch. )
Let's focus on how am i going to fight against my MA paper this wed now. =(
Sunday, July 03, 2005 @ Radio Ga Ga
Was reading Sunday Times just now, where i came across with an article on Online Radio station. One of the recommended radio station was
www.tabletalkradio.com . It is a online station introducing food and wine. One of the special programme they recommend was choosing and tasting wine by the Wine Lady.
And so i signed up as a member for free to enjoy the programme. After setting the right frequency and so on, i don't hear anything. The station is not working.
So, i tuned back to my Yahoo! station. Yep, Yahoo! can made your own personalise station.
And i should called it smart radio. Why smart? You choose your favourite singer, you rate the song you like, you rate the song recommended. Eventually, they will have a record of your preference, which means the next time you tune in to ya smart radio, they played the songs you like, or songs from your favourite singer.
(Now playing: don't know what title this song is. Performed by material girl Madonna. Sound like a song from 80's to me. Ah. found the title: Keep it Together)
Watched War of the Worlds last nite, and it left the audience hanging on top.
(Now playing: You Have Being Loved by George Michael.)
Spielberg and Cruise left the audience with loads of unanswered questions. What happens to Tim Robbins when Tom Cruise locked him up and have him beaten up for scaring Dakota Fanning? What is the weakness of those tripod aline machine? Why do they want to destroy human beings? Why this why that? so many why's left unanswered.
And so i watched Last Samurai just now, despite the fact that i want to watch Pulp Fiction, yet i only watched the 1st 20min of it. Craves just came at the wrong time.
(For no apparent reason, You Have Been Loved sounds different tonight. Georgie's voice...oh so sweet.)
(Now playing: Fireworks by Moby. Oh the British weirdo DJ. Love his songs. Doesn't sound like songs to me. And terribly short. Barely lasted 2 min. And now Faith Hill take over, with The Hard Way.)
Mum and bro is in M'sia now. So i have to my laundry, i have to get my own food. Mum fears that i can cause a fire at home, so she don't allow me to cook except for instant noodles and boil water.
(Sting's Never Coming Home: Gonna Live My Life Remix. Gonna Make my Life Remix? Haha. When did the music guru make such a Gonna Make my Life Remix?)
What is the meaning of Instead of giving one a fish for a meal, you teach him how to fish so that he can eat for life? This theory is not valid at my home, cos my mum do not wish to see the house is gone when she returns. (and that means the house catches fire.)
(Weight of the Wind by A-HA! Featured in their 86's album, Scoundrel Days. OMG. Gramophone had a sale selling at $10 and i didn't buy. I can go and bang my head at the wall for not buying the album.)
(Give me one more night, Collins. Now, Dido is saying: Don't Leave Home.)
Bought 2 tubs of Cadbury Ice Cream at Cold Storage again. This time, i had chocolate caramel and light choco n vanilla. Equally sinful to have the chocolate caramel, cos it is so...sweet, and so creamy.
(Come and take me away, Norah Jones.)
As for Light ice cream, the vanilla ice cream is formed into a shape of a heart, in the middle of the tub, with chocolate ice cream surrounded the heart.
(Duran Duran is using durians to woo this hot chick named Rio.)
I can imagine small little vanilla hearts scattered around the pool of chocolate sea as the design for the ice cream. Oh! So romantic. Can use that to woo a girl.
(And i listening to love songs along the way? New Order comes out with that Bizzare Love Triangle.)
