Survived my 2 weeks in Tekong. Yes!!!

I am out of that bloody field camp!!!
Surviving for 7 days and 6 nights in the jungle is definitely not a easy task for everyone out there. Think: water is precious, so you can only powder bath, put on that bloody camo creme for 24hrs, rifle must be with u for 24/7 (even when you are sleeping), sleep on open area where you are vulnerable to those creatures from the mother nature, the constant changing of human mind and etc etc etc...
And all of these are OVER!!!
At least i know, field camp is a test for everyone on their endurance physically and mentally. It makes me realise where is my strength, my weakness, and the true colors of the people around me.
Going off now. Dead tired rite now.
Now playing: Hoppipolla - Sigur Ros

Saturday, July 15, 2006 @ Out there...
Out in Tekong, i knew that i am blessed to have some real good buddies who is there to help me.

Linus, Chong (my buddy), Felix, Lewis, Nick, Kenny, Danny, Raj, Soe and Trevor (who was sad to say, has been out of training due to back problem) was there to help me when i am down, and when i was really weak.

They did not despise me, and makes me feel left out of the section. instead, they do their very best to help me in every way they could. Am proud to say Linus is my personal physical trainer and nutritionalist (helps me to look out my diet and do tonnes of exercise), Chong is my pull-up trainer, Lewis is my arms instructor and yada yada yada...the list can just simply go on and on.

At least they did not make me feel that i am lousy.

P.S: Hey Linus, if you ever come across this blog, i am proud to tell you that with your help, i shed my kilos from 82 to 77.5... =)

Saturday, July 01, 2006 @ An Easier Affair
George Michael is back again with his latest single, An Easier Affair!!!

An Easier Affair marks George's turning point of his life, where his change of sexual orientation in 1998 inspires him with the new song, aka An Easier Affair. Life has been pretty unforgiving for George since he declare gay in 1998, but nevertheless, he make it through.

And somehow, attemp to watch Superman Returns on weekend with YaoMing has never been an easier affair for me. Doubt that i am fully recovered from cough and flu on the previous weekend. And due to the hectic training in Tekong, the bad air (can't really say that air is fresh over there, even though there are trees surrounding Tekong and a lovely sea view from my bunk.) and guard duty that deprives me several hours of sleep (did not sleep on fri nite. had to wake the recruits up and stay in the guard room for the whole night to wait for their call.) I ended up with worsen cough, flu and tonnes of greenish discharge from the eyes.

Seen a doctor and he prescribe me with anti-biotics, pills, cough syrup and eye drop, and it makes up S$60 for the consultation. (Gasp!) Couldn't imagine what will happen if this continues.

But anyway, bless me that i will recover from my illness asap (though the doctor told me that the episode will have a re-run again if i make it to OCS or SISPEC.) so that i had the ability to fight.

To fight against who i do not like.

Somewhere around the corner in the city lies a man with some past...
